Leader Appointment Process

1. Adult Appointment (AA) Form sent by District to County Appointments Secretary (CAS) (Name of Training Adviser should be included).

2. CAS sends Form to Scout HQ requesting Provisional Appointment. Sends copy of AA Form to County Training Manager (CTM).

3. CAS receives Prov Appt and sends to District.

4. CAS advises District Commissioner and Local Training Manager (LTM) and CTM.

5. GR contacts Leader advising of Getting Started Course. (Should name of Training Adviser not be available on AA Form then a name must be obtained when Leader attends Getting Started Course).

6. Training Adviser (TA) advises LTM that Leader has completed Getting Started and all has been validated.

7. LTM advises CAS completion of Getting Started requirements.

8. CAS applies to Scout HQ for a Full Warrant.

9. CAS receives Full Warrant and sends to District.

10. TA advises LTM when all Modules have been completed

11. LTM advises CTM that all Modules have been completed and requesting Wood Badge application.

12. CTM sends Application to Scout HQ for Wood Badge. Advises TA that this has been done. Sends letter to Leader congratulations on completing Training.
